Is your gym welcoming for beginner?

Yes! At Soham Fitness Centre we pride ourselves on being a welcoming and supportive gym for people of all fitness levels, especially beginners. If you’re new to the gym, we offer a free gym induction, which can be booked through our website. During this session we’ll show you how to use the equipment safely and help you feel confident getting started.

We also offer a free day pass, giving you the opportunity to explore the gym and familiarise yourself with the environment before committing. Our friendly team of qualified personal trainers and staff are always available on the gym floor to answer questions and offer guidance whenever you need it.

Can this gym help with weight loss?

Yes, absolutely. At Soham Fitness Centre we have everything you need to support your weight loss and fitness goals. Our gym includes a wide range of cardio equipment, resistance machines, free weights, and high-energy HIIT classes, giving you plenty of ways to stay active and burn calories.

Whether you prefer structured classes, independent training, or working with a personal trainer, we provide the facilities and support to help you stay consistent and make progress on your weight loss journey.

What equipment do you have for strength training?

We offer a wide range of high-quality strength training equipment from leading brands including Cybex, Watson, Hammer Strength, Primal and Sportesse.

Our gym features a variety of specialist machines such as a Pendulum Squat, Hip Thrust Machine, Assisted Pull-Up Machine, Chest Press and Shoulder Press, along with a full range of pin-loaded machines that allow you to complete a full-body workout with ease.

Alongside this, we also have extensive free weights and strength equipment, making Soham Fitness Centre a great place for both beginners and experienced lifters looking to build strength and muscle.

Do you offer Personal Training?

Yes, we have a fantastic team of qualified personal trainers here at Soham Fitness Centre, each with their own specialities to suit a wide range of goals and training styles.

Our team includes Alfie, Jamie, Michael, Sarah, Sam and Rhea, who are all passionate about helping members achieve results whether that’s weight loss, strength training, improving fitness, or building confidence in the gym.

What Fitness Classes do you offer?

At Soham Fitness Centre we offer a wide variety of fitness classes to suit all abilities and interests, all available under one roof.

Our class timetable includes everything from Pilates and strength training sessions to HYROX-style workouts, HIIT classes, Boxercise and outdoor bootcamps. We also run specialised sessions such as women’s strength training classes every Saturday, designed to help build confidence and technique.

For those with busy schedules, we even offer early morning classes such as our 6:30am HIIT sessions. You can view the full timetable and book classes through the Classes section on our website.

How much does a gym membership cost?

We offer a range of flexible membership options designed to suit different needs and budgets. Our standard membership price is £48 per month, but we also provide a variety of discounts including student memberships, armed forces and ex-service discounts, Blue Light card discounts, and household memberships.

These options help make Soham Fitness Centre an accessible and affordable gym for the local community.

What are your gym opening times?

Our gym opening hours are designed to fit around busy schedules.

We are open 6:00am to 9:00pm Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays, and 10:00am to 4:00pm on Sundays.

I’ve never been to a gym before – how do I get started?

Starting the gym for the first time can feel intimidating, but at Soham Fitness Centre we make it simple and welcoming. New members can book a free gym induction, where a member of our team will show you around the facility, explain how to use the equipment safely and help you feel comfortable in the gym environment.

You can also take advantage of our free day pass to explore the gym and get a feel for the space before joining. Our friendly staff and qualified trainers are always available to answer questions and help you build confidence as you begin your fitness journey.

How quickly can I see results from going to the gym?

Results vary from person to person, but many members start to notice improvements in energy levels, strength and fitness within the first few weeks of consistent training. Visible changes such as weight loss or muscle development usually begin to appear after several weeks of regular workouts combined with healthy lifestyle habits.
